Our resources exist to support your goals, and we use our platform to elevate your voice and share your message across our network.   • The New American Task Force

    Launched in May 2022 in partnership with the Utah Center for Immigration & Integration, the Task Force is charged with developing a comprehensive strategy to maximize the economic opportunities, social inclusion, and the civic potential for New Americans.

    This project works to bring student voice into the conversation of student belonging. From students' experience and perspective, what does belonging mean to them? Or what does it mean to not belong? And how can we help students feel like they belong, not only in schools, but in their larger community?

    As part of Utah’s Broadband Expansion planning, this coalition is designed to build service provider capacity while offering community-centered guidance to those looking to invest and create meaningful impact in this priority area.

  • The Current State of Providers Serving Immigrants & Refugees

    The CEOB

    The recent instability of federal grants has placed many of Utah’s New American service providers in an increasingly precarious position, jeopardizing vital programs and creating uncertainty for the communities they serve. As immigration policies shift under the current administration, local organizations are being forced to do more with less, all while navigating fear and confusion among their clients. This survey of 28 service providers offers a critical window into the evolving landscape, illuminating both the mounting challenges and the potential pathways forward.

    These findings can help us better coordinate efforts, inform advocacy, foster innovation, and strengthen Utah’s collective response to a rapidly changing immigration climate.

  • What Does it Mean to Belong?: Listening to Youth Voices

    The CEOB, Westminster University, the University of Utah College of Education, & University Neighborhood Partners

    This study focuses on adolescents aged 13-19 and explores the nuances of the concept of belongingness, examining its shared attributes and potential divergences among youth across four distinct communities in Utah. In addition to collecting data on multifaceted dimensions of belongingness, this report includes youth’s perspectives on programs and policies that can help nurture a sense of belonging.
